Welcome to Forest Psychology:
the perinatal psychology practice.
The journey into parenthood can be the most rewarding and also the most challenging path you will take in life. If you are struggling with conception, pregnancy or life as a parent, Forest Psychology is here to support you.
Who am I?
I’m Dr Kate Tangri, an experienced consultant clinical psychologist who is dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of mums, dads and parents-to-be. Becoming a parent is a life-changing experience and you often hear the phrase “it takes a village to raise a child”. But what if you don’t have a village? I am here to support you with the challenges associated with conception, pregnancy, giving birth and the early years of parenting. Perhaps you are feeling concerned about giving birth, worried about your relationship with your partner or feel that you’re not parenting in the way you’d hoped. Maybe you are feeling depressed and anxious as a new parent, or struggling to recover from a traumatic birth. I offer therapy sessions as well as preparing for parenthood sessions to enable you to make positive changes, strengthen relationships and develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself. You are welcome to get in touch to discuss your needs: forestpsychology@proton.me or phone 07442 380 981.
In person and remote options
I see clients in person in Walthamstow E17 and central London, as well as offering online therapy. Choose whichever option works best for you.
“After our sessions I finally feel like I can enjoy being a parent. I’m coping so much better with the hard days and I am generally much kinder to myself”
— TH, former client
